D-Man’s second project I Said What I Said is an ode to the art of Flexing. Hard Hitting, yet melodic beats showcase the trap lyricists versatility throughout the project. I Said What I Said illustrates his metamorphosis from a newcomer to a certified star. Tracks like “Guerrero Jr” and “PrimeTime” display his creativity and braggadocios flow. As always, his empowering hustle mentality permeates each and every track, especially so on “Pledge Allegiance” and “Can’t Do”. Vulnerability and emotion penetrate his hardcore exterior on “Mean to Me”. From the first second, you realize you are listening to an experience rather than just another collection of songs. Although his rap journey started as an experiment, you quickly understand that his mentality and mannerisms would have brought him to our ears one way or another.
